Recent Additions

Sajen legal is proud to announce the recent addition of two new lawyers to its team.  Robert Butler and Christina Sutherland have both joined the firm's litigation team. Rob is a former trial barrister with many years experience appearing in all Courts and Tribunals including the Court of Appeal and the High Court.  Christina is a former partner of a well established Brisbane CBD firm and specialises in commerical structuring and advice, corporate governance and commercial litigation.  Christina is also a member of the board of publicly listed company Powerlink.

Innovation and Creative Industries

Businesses in this industry type are characterised by highly-crafted creative and/or technical expertise. Sajen legal understands that supporting this industry not only enhances the cultural diversity of the Sunshine Coast but contributes significantly to the economic success of the region. 

"The creative industries sector, although relatively new, already adds $1.96 billion to the value of Queensland's services and manufacturing sectors each year. The sector employs more than 67,000 Queenslanders, and adds $1.1 billion in exports to the Queensland economy. In total creative industries are worth $3.4 billion a year to the Queensland economy." Often the economic value of the creative industries is contained in the intellectual property behind the end product. Sajen legal partners with a number of arts related associations to advise on relevant copyright, trademark and patent issues. Most recently, we formed a relationship with the Regional Advertising and Design Association (RAD) to further develop its membership benefits by way of business advice seminars and expansion of its network.
