Wills

Some of our lawyers are very experienced in preparing wills, particularly complex testamentary trust wills.

We offer a fixed fee for less complicated Wills and in keeping with our focus on personal service, we make home visits to elderly or infirm clients. We advise on tax planning, lifetime transfers, capital gains tax and the use of testamentary trust wills.

We advise on the effectiveness of home made wills and the prospects of contesting improperly drafted wills.

We also deal with will disputes and claims under the Succession Act for adequate provision.

Administration of Estates

We apply for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration to enable the administration of a deceased’s estate to proceed. We gather in the assets, pay off the liabilities and distribute the estate in accordance with the wishes of the deceased.

Contesting Wills

We also regularly act for clients in disputes involving the contesting of  the validity of wills and making and opposing applications for family provision under the Succession Act.
