Merger Announcement

We have much pleasure in announcing that Sajen Legal and Ferguson Cannon Lawyers are merging.

After a combined history of almost 50 years, we’ve decided that it’s time to join forces. The new firm will be known as Sajen Legal and will begin operating on Tuesday May 2.

The faces you know aren’t changing – Kyle Kimball, Glenn Ferguson, Angelo Venardos and Timothy Borham will be the directors of the merged firm. Kyle and Glenn worked together as young lawyers and have maintained a friendship for more than 20 years. It’s at last time to do business together rather than in opposition.

Simply, the merger makes sense. We will now have the scale and the knowledge base to make life even easier for our clients. We will continue to focus on business law while also adding more depth and variety to our services. The strengths of the merged firm will enable us to protect our clients even more effectively.

While our history is entwined with the Sunshine Coast – many of us grew up on the Coast and now raise our families here – Sajen Legal and Ferguson Cannon have worked for decades with clients across Queensland and beyond. We have a Brisbane office and have now established a Hong Kong office, assisting those clients whose businesses have branched beyond Australia.

What changes will I notice in the new firm?

This will be business as usual – only better. The merger will ensure that all Ferguson Cannon and Sajen Legal clients will have access to more in-depth knowledge and advice. In the coming weeks, the Mooloolaba team will move into the current Ferguson Cannon office at Level 1, 2 Emporio Place, Maroochydore, 4558. Brisbane and Hong Kong offices will remain as is. For now, the Sajen Legal and Ferguson Cannon websites will remain live. In the coming months, we will move to one website at www.sajenlegal.com.au

All clients will enjoy the benefits of having access to our tailored retainer offering, the Sajen Accord. Many of Sajen Legal’s existing clients already know about the peace of mind offered by the Sajen Accord. It’s a fixed fee, it’s flexible it’s affordable, meaning that clients can receive legal advice on all their business law needs without having to worry about the meter running.

What do clients have to do?

Nothing. If you are a Ferguson Cannon client, you will seamlessly become part of the merged firm. You don’t have to do anything. If you are a Sajen Legal client and are used to visiting the office in Mooloolaba, please take note of the new addresses in Maroochydore and Brisbane.

From all at Ferguson Cannon and Sajen Legal, we thank you for placing your trust in us over almost 50 combined years. We very much look forward to continuing to work with you as part of the newly merged Sajen Legal.
